Creative Florist Launches New Silk Flower Website and Blog
SilkFlowersToLove.com is a bold new website which offers a wide range of silk flowers, trees and plants. Founded by vocational florist Lillian Breyer, the website’s newest feature is a blog which will discuss the subtleties of silk flower arranging, as well as the benefits of silk flowers over their live counterparts.
When Lillian Breyer, founder of www.SilkFlowersToLove.com, would create a fresh flower arrangement for her home, she was always disappointed with the condition of her flowers after just a few days in a vase.
“I love the appearance of fresh flowers right after they’ve been cut, but even with floral plant food in the vase, the flowers start to droop after a few days and are dead within a week or so,” said Breyer. “I’ve always disliked the idea of artificial flowers, so I never gave them much consideration”
However, Breyer’s dissatisfaction with fresh flowers eventually got the better of her, and she decided to try her first silk arrangement.
“I started with clear crystal marbles in the bottom of a crystal compote, then I added silk flowers and created a simple arrangement. When I was finished, I stepped back and realized the imitations were a vast improvement. In fact, they were downright spectacular.”
Breyer’s experience inspired her to create more silk flower arrangements, and over time her creations motivated her to launch her website.
