Baby Website Launches New Blog
“I’m a mother who has been there and done that,” said Susan Pettie. “Now I’m also a grandmother who sees her children struggling to provide for their babies.”
Pettie launched her website, www.AMRGlobalEnt.com, in June 2009 with the goal of providing parents of new babies a more affordable option for their infant’s apparel and accessories. “I want to provide parents with top of the line products that are also affordable,” she said.
While Pettie noted that she could have started a brick and mortar store, she believed an online store was a better option. “Parents have to be discriminating, so an online store makes a lot more sense,” said Pettie. “With an online store, parents can compare prices at the click of a button.”
In the next several months, Pettie plans to expand the store by adding larger items like strollers, high chairs and cribs. Pettie also has future aspirations for the store. “What I’d like to do eventually is have a baby registry for new parents,” she said.
Pettie hopes that the addition of her new blog at www.MyBabyChatter.com will provide parents with a wealth of information on infant care, including tips for cutting costs. “I want parents to have a resource where they can come to talk about products and read reviews.”
Pettie believes she also has much to offer new parents from her experiences. “I plan to provide information about more than just baby products, but also about nutrition, safety and health.”
Visitors to the new blog will be welcome to post questions to which Pettie will respond. “I wanted to make the blog kind of an ‘Ask Grandma’ forum,” she said. “I think for a lot of parents, a little outside wisdom and experience can go a long way.”
