How to Make Money with Online Video
Vidsense today announced that its new Video Snack Bar widget is now available for all publishers to place on their websites, free of charge. The Video Snack Bar is a content widget that features thumbnails culled from the Vidsense library of more than 100,000 licensed, family-friendly video clips.
Each Video Snack Bar widget is stocked daily with new video treats for snackers to view. “Video snacking is now the dominant online behavior,” says Jeanie Davis, VP of Publisher Relations, “but so far there’s been no good way for publishers to make money from it. Until now. With the Vidsense Video Snack Bar on their sites, publishers get paid for each and every video view they generate.” Does it work? “More than 50,000 thousand publishers already in the Vidsense Video Snack Network can’t be wrong,” Davis concludes.
The Vidsense Video Snack Bar widget comes in a wide variety of customizable formats to satisfy the aesthetic needs of any publisher, and the video snack thumbnails are changed daily by Vidsense.
When a site visitor clicks on one of the Video Snack Bar thumbnails, a new browser window opens to play the requested video snack clip. When the audience is finished viewing the video, the browser window can be closed and the viewer is returned to the publisher site. Says Ms. Davis, “We have beta tested the Vidsense Video Snack Bar for the past six months, and publishers love the idea of satisfying the video snacking urge without having to stream or license content. Our clips are all licensed and range from Pavarotti to Patton.”
In addition to size and color, publishers can choose from three different content categories: Women’s Video Snack Bar; Men’s Video Snack Bar; and a General Video Snack Bar.
