Blogs Thrive on Conversations

Journalism vs. Blogging

Blogs should not be mistaken for media nor should it be tagged as something to replace journalists all over the world. Blogging is voicing out an opinion with the hopes of getting some reactions and feedback to start a conversation or even debates that can expound on certain topics today. Apparently some people have the notion that blogging is another form of journalism degree when in fact it is not.

Blogging has been mistaken like this for the reason that it has gotten more attention over traditional media. This was made possible due to attention and the freedom of people to react and talk about things that are normally not definitive. Conversations and feedbacks can last for years whereas news articles can only expand their story once a follow-up article is done.

From here we can see one key difference. But the point is, blogs allow people to express what they feel and when they feel. If journalists feel that this is becoming a threat to them then perhaps the best thing to do is to read more on blogging and try it out. It is the best way to determine the difference between blogging and journalism.
